Brief Information

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the notification for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET). Candidates planning to become teachers in Central Government schools can now begin preparing to apply online for CTET September 2026.

According to the official public notice, the CTET examination will be conducted on September 6, 2026 (Sunday), for both Paper-I and Paper-II. If the number of applicants is exceptionally high, the examination may also be held on September 5, 2026 (Saturday).

CTET 2026 Exam Details

This year, the examination will be conducted in 27 languages across 132 cities in India. The board has also clarified an important update regarding exam centres. Candidates will not be able to choose their preferred exam city during the application process. The exam city will be allotted randomly by CBSE, and requests for changes will not be accepted later.
