SJVN Limited has officially released the SJVN Recruitment 2026 Notification (Advertisement No. 127/2026) inviting applications from experienced professionals for various executive positions in its wholly owned subsidiary SJVN Thermal Private Limited (STPL). The recruitment drive aims to fill 21 vacancies for Chief General Manager, Deputy Manager, and Engineer posts in Mechanical, Electrical, C&I, and Chemical disciplines.

The selected candidates will be posted at the prestigious 1320 MW Buxar Thermal Power Project in Bihar, one of India's major thermal power projects. Salary Structure

Experience Required

• This recruitment is only for experienced professionals.
• Candidates should have executive experience in:
• Coal Based Thermal Power Plants
• Erection
• Commissioning
• Operation & Maintenance
• Super Critical Thermal Power Plants
• Experience for Engineer (E2)
• Minimum 3 years executive experience
• At least 1 year in Super Critical Thermal Power Plant of 660 MW capacity
• Experience for Deputy Manager (E4)
• Minimum 7 years
• Minimum 3 years in Super Critical Thermal Power Plant
• Experience for Chief General Manager (E8A)
• Minimum 27 years
• Minimum 8 years in Super Critical Thermal Power Plant (660 MW or above)
• Private sector applicants must be working in organizations having an average annual turnover of ₹2500 Crore or more.

Selection Process

The selection process for SJVN Recruitment 2026 is completely based on the candidate's qualifications, professional experience, and performance in the interview. • The recruitment process consists of the following stages:
• 1. Scrutiny of Applications
• After the online application process closes, SJVN will scrutinize all applications received. The eligibility of candidates will be checked based on:

• Age Criteria
• Category Reservation
• Documents Submitted

• 2. Shortlisting of Candidates
• Since the number of applications is expected to be high, SJVN may shortlist candidates based on:

• Experience in Super Critical Thermal Power Plants
• Relevant functional area
• Experience in reputed organizations
• The management reserves the right to increase the eligibility standards to limit the number of candidates called for interview.
• 3. Screening Test (If Required)
• If a large number of eligible applications are received, SJVN may conduct a Screening Test.
• Important points:
• Screening Test is only qualifying in nature.
• Marks obtained will not be included in the final merit list.
• Final merit will be prepared only on Interview marks.
